How has Tony Managed to fuck it up so badly? All he had to do was put her on tv consistently and have her win. It was literally just female Goldberg. Instead she's had less than 60 matches in 3 years and nobody cares about her

Jade lost her shine when TK failed to take the women's belt off Thunder Rosa. Those were critical years where TK should've capitalized on by having Jade be the women's champ.

He booked himself into a corner by putting the title on someone so obviously green. That problem is only highlighted by the fact it feels like she’s in her own separate universe compared to the rest of the division. She’s undefeated yet hasn’t crossed paths with Britt, Jamie, Shida, Paige, Toni etc? Just really shows that Tony had no long term plans with her other than endlessly feed her jobbers.

she's just not skilled enough for anything beyond jobber squashes and Tony Khan autistically won't call an audible on his plan for who would end her streak so she's just spinning her wheels until that person is ready (most likely statlander who keeps getting injured)

She's really just not improving. She's not much better now than she was a year ago or so. She has no interest in doing indies and she's not even doing the few house shows AEW runs.

Her booking also hasn't been that good. They could have put her under a mask and had her do jobs and do longer matches until she was ready. Instead, they rushed her out there as a name from the start. They shouldn't have given her the undefeated streak and they shouldn't have given her the title either as it backed them into a corner with her.They gave her Mark Sterling, then gave her Stokeley without an explanation and then gave her Mark Sterling again. They had Red Velvet and Keira Hogan leave her group and instead of making a big story out of it, they left, were beaten and the story was over before they got anything out of it. The Taya Valkyrie story was probably the most interesting thing they did with her yet. But they had Taya lose, burying her and are trying to run it again.

And I think the streak is for nothing anyway. It's not helping anyone get over and even the person who beats Jade isn't going to get much of a boost off of it. Then, Jade's going to be left with nothing to do because she's not good enough yet.

Goldberg wa built up beating job guys, midcarders, high careers and then guys like Hogan for the top belt.
Jade is just holding the jannetty women's belt beating nobodies.
Tony obviously thought if you just let someone win constantly they'd naturally get over but that's not true. You actually have to get the audience invested in them.

She towers over half the MEN in AEW and has muscles for days. Making her a masked jobber would never work in a million years. They should've just had her wrestle dark matches and held her TV debut off until she was a bit better.

The biggest indictment of the reign is that the best angle they've come up with in those 500 days was this.
She might've gotten a better match with Athena, but is literally the only time I've watched her and actually been entertained (and frankly the tranny was the one driving the entertainment value). Her programs are just so goddamn uninspiring.

The main problem with it is they want to pretend like she's dominant and give her this big, long title reign, but she's so green and bad in the ring, they need to have her rarely ever wrestle to cover that. It's the same thing with MJF. Tony was so deadset on keeping MJF strong, he'd only wrestle a handful of times a year. He only had one year where he wrestled over 20 matches. He wrestled 9 whole matches in all of 2022. Even Roman Reigns wrestled more than that last year and he's basically a part-timer at this point.

She actually does do dark matches. I went to the LA taping and she did a match that ended up not counting on her record. It was weird watching the next week when her record number "repeated."

Jade's not even featured on PPVs all the time. She's a failure and Tony knows it. But Statlander got hurt. The problem with waiting on Statlander is that Jade is just idling for months. Plus Statlander has glass knees so who knows how long she'll be available when she returns

AEW just doesn't have the means to develop talent. Aside from the locker room culture of ignoring anyone who tells you not to do a top rope canadian destroyer 10 seconds into your 15 minute match, they just simply don't run enough shows.
Tony's got the money to burn, there's no reason he can't lose money on running a developmental brand, or even just keep running the youtube show off air, and having veterans hold seminars before the show.
