But seriously the biggest problem with all of these AEW guys who just disappear is that at their core they're shitters with no ambition. They wrestle for fun, and thats why they treat it like a joke. Then a Mark Billionaire came along and gave them 10x-50x more money than they'd ever gotten in their lives, and to top it off the Mark Billionaire said it was totally cool with them if they wanted to take multiple vacations every year, spend all the time in the world with their families, or take 6 months off to "heal their injuries" both physical and mental.
Just like your average high school pot head, they jumped at the chance to just slack off and fuck off into obscurity rather than use this once in a lifetime opportunity to reach for the stars.
