>>10255921I'd have to break down what we do and it'd be tl;dr.
As short as I can make it, some of our coworkers are lazy and cut corners. I do not. Somebody who isn't anybody's boss got fed up and wanted to yell at the lazy coworkers, but the lazy coworkers would yell back or ignore him. He knew I was docile and autistic enough to absorb the anger so he yelled at me about something I don't do.
I didn't want to get upset, but I couldn't negotiate myself out of getting upset. I asked to go home so that I wouldn't escalate the situation. I am hoping the rest of the day is enough to navigate my emotions so that I can provide a professional assessment of the situation to my boss tomorrow. If I had stayed, I'd just be rolling downhill with the bad thoughts. I can now accurately describe my response to what happened and I should be able to grab six hours of overtime on the weekend to make up for the lost hours.
I think I made the right call by leaving. Obviously I would prefer to manage myself better and not have to leave at all, but that's not the brain I have. I think I made the right call.
