>>10256728I think Moxley is just very dumb, possibly autistic and usually drunk, so I don't consider him a particularly fake tough guy -- as in, I don't think he himself legitimately thinks he would fare well in an MMA fight, for example. He's more of a jackass (pun intended) who would masochistically take a beating just for the sake of it, without really intending to win.
When I think of a fake tough guy it's someone who legitimately got worked by their own kayfabe and thinks they're shooters, but always take it out on guys smaller and lower on the card than them -- Carder, JBL, Bob Holly, Chris Benoit, guys like that. They hazed everyone for "disrespecting the business" or just being a rookie, but when Lesnar came in not giving a fuck none of them stepped in because they knew they'd get heemed.
A case can be made for CM Punk, but no one except him actually thought of him as a tough guy -- ever. He wasn't so much a classic fake tough guy as just a completely delusional nerd.
