As probably the only black person in this thread who actually remembers wrestling at its peak in the 80s the correct answer is Superfly Jimmy Snuka if your from the east coast and Ric Flair if your from the south.

Not counting millennials love for Jeff Hardy because they didn't watch wrestling no where near as much as kids in the early 80s when there was only a handful of channels to pick from. Even during the height of Hulkamania white kids pretty much loved him, and you would be surprised as to how many black kids hated that Mr T joined him and considered it kinda of a sell out move. Snuka was easily the most over on playgrounds for black & brown kids.

Flair is a given, moved down south and heard nothing but stories of how they grew up watching him.

Hardy is a niche market, where only a small section really know him where as the other two mentioned were pretty much household names.

My black friend happened to stay at the same hotel as Flair once and because he is a fan he went up to talk to him and first thing Flair said was 'Hey Kofi Kingston! How's it going brother!' and then kept calling him Kofi the entire time while being super nice and friendly. Then later on he walked passed Flair again and Flair shouted at him 'Hey! It's my man Booker T! Booker T how you doing!'
