Both competitors have to sign off on the stipulation and provide hand written consent to having the rules and regulations of normal AEW in ring competition not be present during this particular match. HBK and Jericho did the same thing in 2008

Yeah and it was retarded then. They also had that match in the middle of the card, which is probably what AEW will do with this one too. Also retarded.
It's not a fucking "unsanctioned" match if you're signing a contract with the company to do it and its taking up time in the middle of the card.
AEW did this shit right the first couple of times they did it, I don't know why they're fucking it up now.

Lights Out matches closed out the shows and were designed to not have any affect on the rankings. The latter is gone and nobody in their right minds would think Jericho/Cole should go last.

Quality control. Whoever did it the “first couple of times” probably was a producer who was smart enough to know why it works. Jericho is the one who did it this time hence why it makes no fucking sense . AEWs biggest problem is quality control.
