IMO, I used to be a huge AEW Mark btw, these are the reasons I stopped watching the show weekly, granted some of them are gonna be a little biased.
>Punk not being there. Love him or hate him, Punk took AEW to the next level, without him, the show feels a little bushwhack
>Bucks not playing ball. I get it, if you’re on the Elites side, you want Punk outta there. Hey, I liked them too, but I see them in a much different light, they’d rather be on a completely separate show than to stop bitching, be professional, work with someone they hate, and make a ton of money. Elite vs Team Punk could’ve taken the company to new heights.
>Striking when the iron is cold. Every time someone has gotten organically over, nothing is done with them and nothing is planned for them. They lose all their mystique. WWE still gets a lot of shit for this but somehow AEW doesn’t. Kieth Lee, Andrade, Miro, Kip Sabian, Butcher and the Blade, JAY FUCKING WHITE!!
>Main Event scene feels small. Waaaaaay too early for this feud and to be honest, the 4 of them are just too fucking small, and not at that top level yet. I get wanting to put over the younger talent, but I don’t buy any of them as the top Guy. Feels like a mid-card feud.
>MJF as champ. Too soon. Yeah he had a hot return last year, but the fact that the Brawl-Out completely overshadowed his big win, shows that the fans don’t care about him as much as they think they do. Just look at the ratings
>The true four pillars. Hook, Wardlow, Hobbs, Starks. Boring stories made all four of them lose their momentum.
>Women shit. Not a single female star and holy fuck are they all sloppy. Wish they’d piss off and have their own show.
>Decline of the Tag Team division. One of the highlights of AEW was their amazing tag matches! Now, every tag or trios match feels like filler. FTR are champs and haven’t had a 2 on 2 match in weeks!
Something needs to be done soon or they’ll never regain their lost momentum.
