It very nearly did, but the answer isn't any one thing it's a mix of cable cutting, AEW not having the same sheen that it used to, WWE getting a revitalising shot in the arm making it cool again.

I actually checked this one out, thinking that the contrast in styles might make for a good match. It's the main event, in a cage, could be good, right? I was honestly shocked at how bad it was, just beyond a joke. I guess the people who still watch like this kind of thing, but I genuinely think they don't realise how bad it is from the inside.
