AEW has always had this problem. It's Tony's spreadsheet booking style. He's got a bunch of feuds and storylines that he wants to address in two hours and he considers it a success if he manages to have a segment for each one of them. How effective each segment is at forwarding the story is secondary to him.

The Bloodline comparison is great because even if Roman wasn't there, there was still SOMETHING going on to keep the importance level of that storyline with Sami up. Even that heatless last month before this week they at least kept it in view.
This also isn't even the first time with just this. They did that angle with Takeshita where he looked like a fucking retard and got stabbed with a screwdriver, next week's followup were 2 pretaped promos and 0 update on his condition or where he is. Page didn't even mention Takeshita in that backstage promo on Wednesday. And where the fuck was Kenny?
