>>10320221 AEW really epitomises having ideas that sound cool and original on paper, that they make look stupid in execution because they get all the little details wrong.
It's the same reason Moxley repeatedly is caught blading on camera, same reason ZSJ was the most overrated robot in the business for years until he spent a few years with Suzukigun and learned how to sell, emote and make his holds look like they mattered rather than going through a routine.
They don't get the little details right- selling a move, selling effort in getting or receiving a hold or move, selling effort in counters, logical setup to go into spots, downtime from spots, timing and pacing to let things breathe, reacting to the opponent and acting like its competition rather than focusing on the camera and mugging or synchronised standoff and bow bullshit.
They have plenty of great ideas but they're losing money and buzz because nobody gets the fine details right and nobody is willing to work on correcting this or listening to feedback. They're lazy when it comes to stuff they don't like doing, and fixated on performing THEIR way and enjoying the smell of their own farts ahead of being good at everything including the things they don't enjoy doing as much.
