Austin pre broken neck was meh it wasn't anything that was lighting the world on fire but it was WAY more then what Goldberg was doing as low of a bar as that is. The ultimate warrior may have been more of a worker then goldberg

i dont care about in ring stuff much theres no way warrior was better than goldberg in that regard. goldberg was doing all kinds of cool slams, he was very athletic, and he would do side kicks and flying wheel kicks. he had a pretty cool move set

imo the neck injury was a blessing in disguise for his ring work because it forced him to switch to a 100% brawler style which fits his character way more. I don't wanna watch stone cold steve austin talk about whipping someone's ass and then roll around the ring like dean malenko.

Yeah the technical style is ass and anti dimes. The attitude era was all about messy brawl matches that go through the crowd and around ringside. I think Austin and HHH were the masters of this style. Foley also but he was more hardcore. I'm glad the younger viewers got to see Austin live at last years mania. Obviously wasnt his best match but they got to witness a classic Austin-style brawl live

I watched it all. Austin and Goldberg were 1a and 1b in 98, Rock overtook Goldberg in mid 99ish, but overall Austin, Rock and Goldberg were top 3 of the 90s. Goldberg was the face of WCW and the 3rd biggest draw. Foley was a huge star from late 98 onwards but never as big as Goldberg at his peak
