>>10333352it's not fair to pin that on bischoff. nobody on earth could have predicted he would become beer drinking steve austin with a goatee. in wcw he was pretty good on the mic but there were actual high standards for main eventers back then. he was nowhere near hogan or savage or flair. he was upper midcard at best, maybe an occasional main event match. he was pretty plain and unremarkable physically. austin himself would probably tell you he wasn't good enough at that point
it is similar to HHH. if you looked at him in 96 there is no way you could predict he would turn into a total beast by 2000. I watched HHH's development in real time and it was still always surreal seeing him, knowing he was hunter hearst helmsley at one point. like two totally different people
