Funny you bring up the ropes though because in WWE, that would’ve been even worse than splattering on the turnbuckle, floor, or mat. They use real rope, not cables (which may have helped a little). There’s no give to them at all and they destroyed his body of the way down, several open fractures. Everyone knows about the exploded heart but there was way more to it than just that. The only way it could’ve been worse is if the ropes were made of something like Piano wire.
