There are many layers to why this isn’t socially acceptable. 1. You need to read the room. Are people receptive to what this topic is you’re wanting to discuss? 2. If you have to speak about something that people do not want to hear, then you need to be prepare to become a social outcast or learn to control yourself and speak concisely. 3. If this topic is currently one which is being shoved down societies throat, and when people do socialize they want an escape from that specific subject, then shut the fuck up and let people enjoy themselves. There are many venues to speak about politics, let people escape from that nightmare especially during pandemic years where it’s forced on us.
