He has some brilliant moments, but sadly he also has some terrible and obnoxious ones - he seems obsessed with being the coolest guy in the room and getting over at the expense of the match. So while he understands why those old scheel heel commentators worked, he just doesn't have the ability to pull it off. What I do like is that he throws in smark-bait without it being turbocringe like Matt Striker and Excalibur.
I think pairing him with Irish Kev highlighted his level of competency since he has to carry him, even doing the play-by-play and the other shit KP is supposed to do.
