First off, please have it be just 20 men in 2 blocks. I'm begging ya. Last year's format was shit.

With that out of the way, there's very few room for slots. There's so many obligatory names like Okada, Tanahashi, Naito, Ospreay, Zack and the rookies that should definitely make an appearance like Narita, Shota and Tsuji.

Really, most of the roster is already obvious in advance. There's room for 1 or 2 surprises at most. Ideally, it'd be Bryan Danielson and Katsuyori Shibata, but that's a pipedream.

Night 3:
A & B blocks
And so forth. 8-man blocks means 8 G1 matches a show with no undercard, probably.

The number of nights is back to the same as 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, etc

Also, last year, the New Japan Cup was the largest and this year it went back to normal.

Maybe I'm just coping, but these two point to things going back to normal (except they'll have the same semi-final stuff they did in the BOSJ)

AEW sending Yuta last year while Impact sent Ace Austin was pretty embarrassing on AEW's part. For the life of me I don't get why AEW won't send Darby for a quick BOSJ run. Even Moxley flat out said Darby would be perfect for it.
