17.1k average main event attendance from 7 shows compared to 16.25k from 12 for Savage. And adding 1986 would only make Hogan's numbers stronger.

you realise WWE toured the USA and Canada and even when to France and UK in those days. They didn't just run New York.

Savage was a huge draw in WWE probs 4th behind obvious 3 but Hogan was bigger.

The fact that there's only a 1,000 difference despite Hogan getting a 5 year mega push proves Savage was a bigger draw. Had he went over at Wrestlemania V it would have cemented him as the top guy

Booking is what determines drawing power, Hogan had the company built around him since the early 80s. Savage was never replacing that. But like the other anon said, he could have easily took the company over during the New Generation
