it looks like it plays like no mercy. that's all that matters to me. that's who the game is made for. I do think the game will fail because people who didn't play no mercy or have a nostalgia for it will judge it by modern video game standards (rightfully so). Tony and Kenny are probably in for a rude awakening when they find out that the niche market for this game isn't very big and casual gamers will pass on it because they don't care that it plays like a 25 year old n64 game

I think you're underestimating how much money middle-aged retrofags will spend to pretend they're a responsibility-free 14 year old again. It looks like a high-def No Mercy with a modern roster. 7 years ago was the start of the trend of games coming out needing a day 1 patch so i can pick any game with bugs and say it’s automatically worse than fight forever. Doesn’t mean anything

At the end of the day it's still a wrestling videogame. Assuming that the middle aged people are nostalgic for No Mercy in the first place, are they still wrestling fans? Are they really going to buy a new "no mercy like" game full of wrestlers and a company they might not even be aware of to get that nostalgic tinge, or will they as other people have said just play the old game instead.

But it doesn't though. The previous footage they had online really did seem promising but watching some of the gameplay from youtubers makes the game look like a sped up and modernized WWF Attitude. Maybe it's the fault of newlegacyinc because they think doing le random stuff is le funny but even still I've watched a shit ton of their videos and not a single game looked that broken. There's just something weirdly off about it, the moves feel like they have no impact, the characters seem weightless, the animations and movements are utterly frantic etc.
