>>10370290This has only been true the last two years tops. I think when it first came out that a billionaire-funded alternate wrestling program would be airing in TNT, WWE was nervous. Locking down all the talent they could with bloated contracts. Once it became clear that Tony is a mark and AEW was always going to be an Indy show with production value, WWE could breath a sigh of relief. Whenever that big round of layoffs with Bray, Braun, etc. was…that was when it became clear that WWE does not see AEW as ever being a legitimate threat.
