I'm so glad I gave up on caring about these shitty titles a long time ago.

Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle are the "first Tag team champions" despite there being an entirely different lineage before them that includes Demolition, LOD, the Hart Foundation, Steiners, etc.

If they kill off the Buddy Rogers/Hulk Hogan lineage, they are stupid as fuck. Sorry, we already know they're stupid as fuck, but this is really, really fucking stupid.

Maybe it's symbolic of the new ownership, though, and we should just accept that this just isn't WWE as we knew it anymore.

The Universal title since there's no legacy with it. You had Balor, Owens, Goldberg, Lesnar, Wyatt, Strowman, Rollins, and Reigns. WWE loves profiting and living off nostalgia, and you get more of that with WWE title since more legends held it. They'll be doing that forever.

anon you have to understand how title rankings work. in most promotions the highest title is the world title. in the WWE, the highest title is the universal title. the new WHC introduced in WWE is actually a secondary title, demoting IC and US titles to tertiary.

i even have proof of this. the new title roman was given says "Undisputed Champion" on the bottom. you can't dispute, he is THE champion. therefore, the next highest title (WHC, held by seth "2nd fiddle" rollins) is actually a secondary title.
