>>10404480You picked a great time to drop off. Fuck the coof era, man.
We've been getting back into the swing of things since roughly January, maybe a bit earlier, though.
Right now the big stories are
1) The new generation of Shibata's apprentice Ren Narita, Moxley's apprentice who is suspiciously like Tanahashi Shota Umino, new LIJ member Yota Tsuji (and soon Yuya Uemura, who Okada had an eye on) appearing all at once fighting to get the new Ace spot. Okada as the current ace is more arrogant and dismissive than ever of these rookies.
2) Suzuki-Gun disbanded amicably and got split into three new factions. Zack Sabre Jr is now the "Frontman" of TMDK, became the first TV Title champion and has taken a Young Lion named Fujita under his wing, who himself has already managed to pin a veteran. Meanwhile, El Desperado and Suzuki are taking care of Narita as the newly formed Strong Style. They got a belt already but Okada took it from them.
3) And then there's Just 4 Guys. DOUKI, Kanemaru, Taichi and TAKA MIchinoku. We've seen Taichi be friendly with SANADA for a long time now, and he finally managed to convince him to join him as brothers, turning into JUST 5 GUYS. SANADA was on a losing slump but he went on to win the New Japan Cup and in a huge surprise take the title from Okada.
4) More Bullet Club switchovers, same as always. Jay White left to cut his cock off so now we have David Finlay. It's weird because he's clearly inferior to Jay (and Kenny, and AJ) but there's still some upside because all the L.A. Dojo boys have joined Bullet Club and finally get the spotlight
There's more but these are the highlights.
