>>10415910It's definitely a bit a politicking to change the general direction of things in his more preferred direction. If he had the choice to watch guys bigger than FTR do what they do he'd dump them too. You see, we live in a society. You can't have things your way all the time. Sometimes you've got to get overly hyped for something you're only kind of into because at least there's a chance you might get that and the alternative is something you don't like at all.
I'll provide an example. Finn Balor is a capable wrestler who will hang himself if given enough rope but for the most part can put on a match with a wide variety of people. He's really nothing special in the modern era, but at one point in time it looked like Vince was gonna strap a rocket to the little Irish lad's back. In a world where everybody hated the Roman Reigns push and were desperate for anything else to catch Vince's attention, Balor seemed like a good bet. Check what I said. Balor didn't seem like the best wrestler, but Balor did seem like one of the better options out of the small handful of people that conceivably could have take Vince's interest away from Roman. Then Roman beat him with one arm and the majority of the "Finn Balor is the GOAT best wrestler in the world" sentiments vanished. It wasn't because Finn got worse, he has actually been very consistent. It's because there was no motivation for people to get hyped about something so bland after corporate made it clear as day he would never get to play that role of stepping stone into a different culture of wrestling. Nope. Roman beat him with one arm.
Anyhow, the point is Jim isn't really doing anything weird. I do it. You do it. Yo mama do it too.
