There are no different moves for CAWS than those of the roster and customization options are minimal, so enjoy having to skip through all the story mode cutscenes to power up generic CAWs to play the limited game modes with broken balance

Gear/moves at most should be accessible through season, but there should be other preferably non-DLC ways to access those too.
These games' longevity live and die by CAW.

HCTP was like this as well and it was mad gay. If I remember right you could work around it by taking a character through season mode to build up their stats and then copying them and editing the clone to create a new CaW. It still wasn't perfect though because you weren't able to edit the stats so I just gave the original CaW 8 in everything to keep them balanced.

IIRC the way to do it was to get enough points to max out your stats without actually raising them; with the downside of playing as a complete shitter the whole time. So you were pretty much forced to use the table corner DQ cheese.

No excuse for this shit in 2023.

Wait, now that I think about it, maybe the CAW season stats didn't carry over. I know that if you deleted a CAW and made a new one in their spot, that CAW would have the record of the old one. Made me seethe when my Sonic CAW had the stats of an anime girl I deleted kek

No, the copy CAW trick is the way to do it in HCTP. As painful as it is, going on highest difficulty and doing the corner table DQ cheese is the smoothest way to get enough stat points. Most of a full season is enough to make any copied CAW have as much in any stat as you want.

Honestly an "arcadey" wrestling game like this doesn't even need stats. They already made it so you can play as a woman and beat up the men. Somethings telling me that the female wrestlers aren't going to have lower stats than their male counterparts either, if just to avoid wokoids sperging out over it. So what's even the point? I mean there's obviously nothing wrong with Big Show moving slower and hitting harder than other wrestlers or Danielson having stronger submission holds but there was really no need for a 2k style OVR rating.

Unlocking the skateboard for your CAW will be the most expensive item (unless you want to pay for it with real money).

AEW really carnied the fuck outta this game. If you think you'll ONLY pay the game cost ($69.99) and nothing else, you're in for a "rude awakening".

You wondering if you can just build wrestlers not included with the game (FTR, Hook, etc)? AEW already cock blocked ya!

Even if they had Hook's moves & CAW lookalike features (they won't). You'd still have to go thru the entire campaign to level him up.
