Why do modern wrestling games look like fucking garbage with all of the technology we have?
Older wrestling game's rosters weren't that big I guess, they mainly contained the actual DRAWS that people wanted to play as. Now every wrestling game needs to have the companies entire roster of shitters that no one cares about or will ever play as.
As a wrestler being featured in a game meant you were a certified draw, now it's just a given lol.

Because a lot of the budget goes into the arenas and crowd which takes away from the wrestler models and animation quality. This can be seen in the TNA game where the wrestlers looked great but the whole stage, entrances, and cardboard cutout crowd were terrible.

Sure you can. There are autistic translations guides on GameFAQs for almost every Japanese wrestling game, most done by the same guy even.

There are also translated ROMs and mods for KoC2 and other games.

Yeah, WK/DOR series are all on the same engine. Both made by Yukes too, there's definitely a bit of their DNA in Fight Forever but it's severely lacking in SOVL in comparison.
