Everything is so PC now. Its impossible to get on television without complying to the status quo. Loads of people watched pre 2000s. People moved on so now wrestling is just a niche interest for mentally ill people, geeks, nostalgiafags and third worlders. At most WWE will trend if a hot angle happens, a star shows up or a WrestleMania/SummerSlam might generate interest then its gone.
Wrestlers are the same. Before it was coked up bodybuilders, football players, fighters, outlaws, carnies i.e. actual somewhat insane larger than life people with a striking appearance. They were also were taught by old wrestlers not only how to wrestle but the money-making mindset. Also they cared about money, they were less marky.
Now guys are just loser fans who grew up watching, copy shit they think looks cool, live out their mark fantasies and want validation from the internet.
