He’s had too many great promos to keep track of, but the ones he was doing with Eddie after the Barbed Wire match were kino and I fully believe they should’ve been tag champs.

It hits even harder when you think about how he had a guaranteed top spot if he had stayed. He’d be having more programs with Brock, probably winning a Royal Rumble at some point, being a contender for Romans titles, maybe would’ve even been the first WHC instead of Seth. I’m glad he’s in AEW but it’s interesting to think about the run he would’ve had if he never left

I respect him because he seems to genuinely hate the way the WWE does business and values the creative freedom he has in AEW.

If he never signs with AEW I think there's a good chance they'd be dead by now. He's the most important signing the company has had because he instantly gave them credibility.

I still like the promo he did after Brawl Out. It really captured some sort of kayfabe-friendly version of a apology and explanation to the audience of what happened over the weekend even when he wasn't allowed to name names, a real good "rally the troops" kind of speech.
Would have been a star making moment if they actually followed it up with some coherency and adjusted his presentation in weeks to come as the people hero but such is the weird way of AEW booking.
