Neither WWE or AEW have consistent meet and greets where you can meet the wrestlers and get autographs and photos. It doesn't make any sense since they would make a ton of money from it. So, fans make their own meet and greets at airports and hotels. Wrestlers also don't live that long, they get hurt, they get fired and with brand splits and other shenanigans, there's really no way to know whether that one time you see Jeff Hardy at the airport will be the last time or not. Until something changes, fans are going to keep trying to meet wrestlers outside of the arena.
Obviously, it's rude to go up to these people and ask them to sign 10 different things, but wrestlers can just say no, tell them to go away or ask people to pay for it. Instead, they just whine online.
If I were a wrestler, I'd just do my own impromptu meet and greets at various places and make a quick thousand dollars at the local park or something. Honky Tonk Man did that during one of the Wrestlemania Weekends and made some nice cash off of it.
