I used to not drink or do drugs for no particular reason and the thought of calling myself Straight Edge is just lol, lmao even. I eventually started drinking and doing drugs because it's the cool thing to do.
If Phil had a drink with the boys he'd be more liked, if he smoked some weed he would be more mellow, and if he did roids he wouldn't be injured from a gust of wind or look like a skinny crackhead or might have actually had a competitive MMA match, etc.
Ironically on paper Phil might as well be an alcoholic or drug addict -- "has little to no control over his emotions, is extremely volatile and goes scorched earth over any perceived slight, has trouble maintaining relationships and ends up burning bridges with everyone around him, and is frequently in workplace drama" etc.
