why do they keep making brand splits and creating new titles for them and then end them 3-4 years later and combine all the belts

i have no idea why they did the brand split again in 2016 not long after merging the belts and phasing out the old brand split. the first brand split was shit after 2003 because the roster was too weak. it was a relief when they finally ended it and had one champ again

because none of it matters. they do what they want to make money. if they cared, there would only ever be one world championship. But there's money to be made out of making new belts and they can hype people up by making them a world champion. It gets people to tune in and the eventual unification match gets hype. there's no logic to having two world champions or brand splits.

And I'll say this: fans, even smarks, are happy when more titles are added

For example, they gave Rollins his own World Title belt and everyone was happy that there was a World Title to realistically defend. This includes AEW fans, who all still watch WWE. Irony being that /asp/ buried the TNT Title and trannies openly accepted Rollins Title.
