We literally are, the fed was on the verge of death and got outdrawn by AEW in 2019. They responded to AEW by turning Roman heel and got CAWDY, all of a sudden they are white hot now while all of the international promotions are working with AEW

Wrestling was mainstream during it's boom periods and enjoyed record ratings and attention. Both the Rock n Wrestling era and the Attitude era fit that description. Wrestling today is still niche and has a minimal presence in the mainstream. I'm not sure we can ever have a boom period again due to both the rise of MMA and the unwillingness to draw real heat out of fear of being cancelled.

nah. as bad as stone cold was during the match with KO, it was because of owens pulling austin to do better which turned it into something special.

putting 2 50+ year old dinos in the ring is painful to watch. no amount of nostalgia is going to get me cheering if it looks like both wrestlers are gassed after 2 minutes of chest slaps.

It's not a boom at all because wrestling hasn't gone mainstream and nobody that's not a fan would recognize any of the modern wrestlers except Brock and Ronda, and that's only due to UFC, or Logan Paul due to his streaming and other things.

AEW is putting back a bit of the grit back into wrestling. It's leaning pretty hard into monday-night-wars era, and frankly I'm here for it. If Collission goes full peak Attitude Era, I'm here to stay.

WWE Doesn't want to risk "cancelation" which is dog shit, they were doing so much better back in 98 when it was more risque. *EVERYONE* knew who the main eventers were.
