I've watched the promo and I have no idea what Punk was going for. Was he a heel or a face? How much of it was real or how much was a shoot? Is he this anti-authority truth teller or the guy the WBD CEO loves? Good promos take you on a journey and make you feel something at the end. This one just made me confused and left me thinking that being CM Punk must be really miserable.

And the irony of that line about other wrestlers being "soft." So it's being "soft" when it's a several minute callout in a media scrum and a legit fight, but it's not "soft" when it's a line in a promo and a stiff shot in a wrestling match. Got it.
