Colby Jefferson wakes up to a feeling of dull pain all over her body, which is matched by acute, blinding pain in her back as soon as she sits up. It turns out that lifting several much, much larger opponents in an intense, grueling match when you have a back injury has consequences. She manages not to scream, hoping not to wake Amy Flame next to her in the bed, but Amy wakes up anyway. Unlike Colby, she's NOT wearing a nightgown, and whereas Colby might have other feelings about this normally, her first thought is to wince when she sees the bruises and swellings and abrasions all over Amy's body. Amy sees her looking and smiles through the pain, and in looking away Colby catches sight of herself in the mirror, and realizes she's not much better.

After an exchange of morning greetings and mutual concern, and a quick touch of bruised, swollen lips, Amy excuses herself to the shower. Colby feels the urge to join her, since hot water is one of the few things that soothes the everpresent pain in her back. But first, she reaches into her purse for the other thing that helps: a small metal flask, from which she takes a generous swig, grimaces, and coughs. She knows a liquid breakfast is nothing to make a habit of, but after a match like last night, she allows herself to have it.

Colby picks up her phone. She has a reminder set, to head down to the WWA offices later on today and take care of business, but there is one thing for which she doesn't need a reminder.

20-year-old Donald Duckleforth is a new summer intern for the Waifu Wrestling Alliance. They needed some new summer interns, because they just had a massive amount of turnover when three psycho ladies attacked several of the office crew, leaving them indisposed. And in addition to that, since the WWA is being audited, that means more paperwork, which in turn means that even more low-level employees are needed to take the fall..... err, that is, to complete the process properly and ensure that all information is correctly documented.

That is where Donald comes in. He is a studious and diligent fellow, some would say even competent; he is a survivor of chronic polydactyly like so many citizens of Spaghetti Town, and a strident fan of the WWA who is passionate about the company's success. And since he has already achieved his greatest aspiration in life, that being to say "Hi" to Robyn McDaid when they passed by one another in the hallway of the office building one time, he is now unencumbered by other dreams or ambitions which might distract him from his work, and therefore he is very productive and willing to work long hours without complaint.

It is Donald who is working nearest the entrance to the lobby when the Divine Angels make their way into the offices again.

Colby Jefferson barges in off the streets of Spaghetti Town with the swagger of someone who thinks she's really cool, and with her is Amy Flame, the voice of experience who has terrorized these offices at one point before. Brimming with smarmy confidence, with last night's bruises covered by makeup, she bustles up to Donald Duckleforth's desk and stands there with a smirk. Deeper in the office, one of his co-workers groans.

Co-Worker:

Co-Worker 2 (whispering):

Colby doesn't seem to hear that, but Amy does.

Colby leans in with a smirk as she places her hands on the desk.

Colby:
>"Mr. Duckleforth, is that your name? I'll make this quick. I, Colby Jefferson, was recently barred from appearing at ringside and supporting the Yellow Empress at Onsen a Lifetime, despite a STANDING AGREEMENT that I do so, and I'm not happy. Someone must have cut a deal with the office. Whoever did this robbed one of my good friends of avictory, and me of much-needed TV exposure and appearance pay. I demand to know who's responsible!"

Donald:
>"Miss Jefferson, even if I knew, confidentiality between WWA talent and the offices is important and must be respected. I can't answer your question."

Amy slams her palm on the desk.

Amy:
>"Match outcome aside, you've cost her a lot of money, and you need to make it right--"

Colby gives Amy a knowing smirk.

Colby (to Amy):
>"Don't worry, we're getting to the good part."
(to Donald):
>"I thought you'd say so, Mr. Duckleforth, and so I'd like to introduce you to the negotiating strategy of the carrot and the stick. And, since I'm impressed by your rugged masculine charms--"

Amy (under her breath):

Colby reaches down into her top, where she's keeping a small folded up bundle of bills. She's keeping it there instead of her wallet, because it makes her feel powerful and sexy and able to walk all over these hapless office people like Nikki, Sapphire, and Amy did the other day. She holds out the money and fans it out.

Colby:
>"That's right, Donald. Thirty-five big ones if you tell me who it was that got me pulled from being the Yellow Empress's manager."

Donald:

Colby loses her cool and stomps her foot in exasperation.

(to Amy):

Amy shrugs at Colby and looks confused.

Amy:

An office worker in the back calls out.

Co-Worker:

Colby is here to raise a commotion and break the rules, like a true bad girl. Like a true Divine Angel. And that means she laughs in the face of social niceties. She goes to the water cooler, takes a paper cup from the cup dispenser, and fills it with water, then makes a showing of tipping it back and chugging the whole cup at once. She belches for emphasis, crushes the paper cup on her ample forehead, and then throws the cup onto the ground.

Colby:

Colby strides across the floor to Donald Duckleforth's desk again.

Colby:

Amy Flame looks like she was expecting more, and when Colby seems satisfied to leave it there, she quickly chimes in.

Amy:

Donald:

Colby and Amy begin to leave the office, to the relief of Donald and the other workers and even Fred the security guard. But Donald's mouthy co-worker just can't leave well enough alone:

Co-Worker:
>"Can I still have the thirty-five bucks, since I told you it was Sola Fire?"

Colby:
>"Oh, NOW you want my money? Well, as far as I'm concerned, you people and Sola Fire are in cahoots, and you can ALL kiss my divine, immaculate--"

Amy:
>"Come on, we've got our answers. Let's get back to the mansion and make a plan, shall we?"

Amy Flame takes Colby's hand to lead her out of the office.

Onsen a Lifetime from a showrunner's perspective:

Build and organisation: Other then the big kerfuffle around the heavyweight title and the small kerfuffle around the tag title match (Who was going to be in) the built went smoothly. There was a little bit back and forth about what match was on the card and which not since it's been a while since the last event and there were a lot of hot feuds going. Recording the matches went very smooth, new rig is working flawlessly. Managed to get the recordings done in pretty much record time.

Day 1:
Kumome V Rabbit, pretty much pegged as the event opener from the get go, great storytelling from both anons. Two takes, since the first match ended in a count out draw due to the AI spazzing out.

Kelly DiVanna V Little Beaver
A feud that completely passed me by, orginally planned on the last show before the event, but bumped up to be on the card to get a good 3 match per day spread. Really solid match. 2 takes, since the original take was still in the old WWA arena.

Hardcore Title Match:
Who can possibly stop Red Hands?! All seriousness, felt good to have a multi-woman match on the card (original card was only 1 multi woman match) and the match delivered, curious to see where Red Hands will take the belt from here. Two takes, couldn't finish the first take because the AI just broke and had Red Hands and Keron stand outside of the ring unmoving for several minutes and refusing to get back in the ring.

Day 2:
Miss USA V Yellow Empress: A great showing from Yellow Empress, but I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea. Single take.

Bishamonta V Duna Sands
An interesting stipulation to sim, THAT DOES NOT WORK WELL WITH 2K22. The match that was released was the first take, but edited by Multianon since even though Duna and Bisha both went trough the table 3 times each, the game said that Duna won. I did a second take, this time with UI on, and the score counting is all kinds of fucked, as sometimes the game rewards 2 points instead of 1. The second match ended up as a draw, so Multi did some editing magic to add the score and the draw screen at the end.

Sheila V Nikki Kade
Single Take, banger of a match, t'was a bit of a kerfuffle to figure out who was going to be the two people going into the match, or if it was going to be a triple threat. Sheila and Multi are two of the writers that I aspire to meet, quality wise.

Day 3:

Hailey V Mare in a wabs out match. Great feud already going back several months, wabs out was a very 'Hailey' stipulation, but it worked it's charms. Blessed good ending after the match. First take. One of the longer singles matches, but it felt much shorter then what it actually was.

Onigiri V Sapphire: One of the first matches I simmed because of the stipulations, see if a Cage Match without escape turned on was an actually interesting match to watch. And as it turned out, yes it was. Almost non stop action, not a single dull second in the match. Two takes, since the first take didn't have Sapphire wearing the same clothes as Onigiri.

Tag Team Tussle match: Jezus what a delightful clusterfuck. This match served as a stress test for my new rig, and even with several ladders and 8 people in the ring it seemed to work out fine. Single take, because fuck recording that again. It was as chaotic as I expected it to be. Not all matches need a good story build. Sometimes you just wanna see madness.

Day 4:
La Jefa V Cassie Kade. Two takes, since on the first take La Jefa got stuck in some kind of endless time loop that left her running towards the ropes eternally. It says a No Holds Barred match, but recording wise it was an Extreme Rules match, because 2K22 does not do No Holds Barred matches well. La Misquita was supposed to be La Jefa's manager, but the stipulation does not allow managers for some reason. Really solid match.

Mighty Milf V Nyx: Personal bias, but my favorite match on the card. I was actually really nervous in that ending sequence. Props to Ribbit for writing this multiple month spanning story with me. Single take.

Main Event: 6 Waifu Elimination match: Was a bit of a mess to get the people sorted after Skelly left, but I think we managed to get a great match in the ending. I would have never suggested Steeli for the Elimination Chamber, but we needed legit contenders for the match. As I said before, I don't want to get my characters in the main event spot. Excellent work from the CAW's, and that fucking ending. Absolute kino. Single take, I went to make lunch after booting it up and came back right at the last entrance.

Missed thoughts:
Forgot to add Colby as a manager to the Yellow Empress V Miss USA match. That's on me, my bad, I apologize for it.

Overall thoughts: Despite the rough patches of anons dropping titles, a VERY good event, match and writing quality wise. Recording the matches made me remember why I love the WWA. It's not the success of my characters, but the responses from all the other anons after seeing a good match or reading a good promo.

We might see some new looks for titles soon (NicoAnon's work) and maybe (Not quite sure) a new version of the WWA Arena. As for an in between event such as the Rookie Cup, Hardcore Tournament or Forbidden Allure. We're discussing options at the moment, see if anything sticks out.

Thanks for posting your thoughts here. I think it's really valuable to get your perspective and views as not just a participant in some of our biggest stories but as one of the key people who made this work. Speaking of which, thank you also for all that you do to keep us running and help support this whole project.

I appreciate and accept the apology, and I understand completely. These things just happen sometimes despite hard work and good intentions, and we move on. We are all good, and it even resulted in some ideas for the new scenes that I just posted today, so it all worked out great in the end.

I also want to shout out your wrestlers' contributions to the event itself: being part of the driving force behind the tag team ladder match, delivering money promos and an intense stipulation for the epic 2/3 falls match, and putting Steeli in the main event to help out despite your misgivings about the title scene, all contributed to making this a great show as well. So thanks for all the in-character work.

Or at least it looked the same to Raquel. The typical folk lay motionless in the surroundings of Club Xtacy. Yes, Raquel knew what a faithful client looked like. There was certainly some good business going on here. Accompanied by two men, Raquel approached the closed doors of Club Xtacy. Although still limping from the fight, she was in a great mood. She boastfully knocked twice on the metal door frame. The grating on the door moved to the side, revealing the yes of U.G. Lee Bastardo.

The mechanisms in the metal door were put in motion, and after a brief while the door opened. Raquel entered without hesitation into the club and playfully slapped the cheek of Bastardo.

The blonde spies Omega as she returns to the locker room, the sound of Divine's music still echoing throughout the arena. But she does not bring herself to approach, instead she turns her attention back to herself. Trust in the process, huh? Be a star? It would be so easy to just go with the flow, to sell her merch and to play the part of the slightly-edgy babyface...

I just can’t stop obsessing over the fact that Holly Hope-Again farts and shits.

I’m guessing an abandoned glue factory would be an especially scary place for a horse girl (being that dead horses were once used in the manufacture of glue). If you were lure her to a glue factory under false pretenses and take her picture when she wasn’t expecting it there’s a fairly good chance you’d catch her being scared. Mare has a reputation for being tough, any picture of her exhibiting fear would be a major embarrassment. You have to ask yourself who Warhorse’s enemies are; find the wrestler who wants to humiliate Mare and you find the party who wants to lure her to the factory. I don’t think it’s Hailey because she recently buried the hatchet with Warhorse.

Lead what, SS? Can you really lead a as a career jobber? And leader of what exactly at this point?
This is just my opinion of course, it never really came up but now that it has, I feel like Stellar Stars is/was a big miss that didn't really benefit anyone or make much sense.

1) SS seemed like it was made to give DA a rival group. It even literally says that on the Stellar Stars wiki page. But it formed right after a group vs group feud with DA had already happened at Bishoujo, and Skelly didn't want to feud with Priscilla anyway. So why make a faction to feud with a faction lead by someone you're going to refuse to feud with? That makes no sense. The very existence of the group set up a feud the leader then refused to do and ended up leaving and killing their character over the fallout. I can't get past how incredibly stupid and pointless this entire sequence of events is.
2) Pre SS my first thought regarding Aina was: promising up and comer. Then SS happened and that changed to: jobber.
3) Onigiri doesn't really fit in a wholesome girls faction at all. It's like a cinderblock tied to her neck holding her in place at this point.
4) Skelly was fine. Idk what happened toward the end and I don't care to get bogged down into the stupidity of it, but I believe the in character cliques became a shoot out of character as well and that led to it.
5) Keron to me seems like someone that should be in a tag team, I think she and to a lesser extent Skelly are the only ones that made sense as a part of the unit. Maybe it should have just been a tag team for Skelly to change pace from singles at some point with.

As far as I'm concerned the Stellar Stars experiment has brought nothing but regression to promising characters/posters and the outright destruction of one. If you guys can salvage it into a net positive, which, let's be honest here, isn't possible after all that's happened, then it would be a hell of a save. But imo Oni and Shogun would be better off solo.

I agree with some of what you say, but i Just want to clarify the Stellar Stars were formed before Bishoujo, which is partly why the inclusion of Aina and Onigiri, but not Croakie, on Team Holly was kind of frustrating.

Shogun's record is that of a jobber, but I don't think her character is a jobber at all. Losing tough fights doesn't make you a jobber. My understanding is she will stay in a team with Onigir if not Gyary more often than not, but we'll have to wait and see.

Onigiri definitely needs to go proper heel. Prank Club is just a way to fraternise with other heels anyway (until shown otherwise, Mare is still technically a heel, in my view).

I like Croakie as a jaded (kek color pun) hardcore division player. Of the three, I'd actually say she fit sin least in a tag team.

I think this is a discussion worth having, but you're coming at it with conflicting viewpoints in my mind.
The 'blemish on the record' shouldn't matter, full stop, but it was enhanced BECAUSE the heels played their parts so well. The wins and losses in the sims are a far secondary component to the RPing. That is something that has been said a lot by now, so focusing on that aspect in your argument is going to hinder you.

He wasn't present and the entire match was booked on the hope he'd agree to participate. ribbit literally said that if Rabbit didn't appear in time for the show he'd assume control of Ranger Rabbit and rp for the match himself.

I said something similar in a discussion in the server today, but I'll say it here as well. I don't think there are any full babyfaces or full heels at all. The Angels are heels, but still a unit that treat each other and even some babyfaces (Sheila, Onigiri*) with respect.
Then characters like Sheila are clearly babyfaces (hopefully I've written her as such) but that doesn't mean they automatically hate all the heels.
I'd say someone like Onigiri is in that 60:40 zone of babyface to heel.

Personally I like it, and think it means you have to judge characters based on their individual actions, and not either their spot on some clear cut dividing line, or who they hang out with.

I told ribbit in the discord it wasn't a good idea to accept on behalf of other characters, then later that day Rabbit appeared in the thread and said it was fine for Rabbit to be in the match and for ribbit to play her going into it, so it was a moot point. Rabbit also made more sense than Croakie at the time because of the Nikki kidnapping and convincing Rabbit's little bro to donate all of her money to Nikki's lonelyfans. I think Priscilla's the only one in that match that didn't have ties to at least 2 members of the opposing team.

One thing was clear, Nico wasn't as ready as she thought she was. Just training in the gym clearly wasn't enough, Nico still hadn't proven herself as a serious competitor. She had to do more to prepare herself if she was going to make it in this company. But how?
