Corby wanted to get that point across like it means anything to even wrestling fans at this point - people know wrestlers did some whack ass shit for attention (and creatives whims) and will continue to do so in the future but this is burying yourself for doing that.
A better way to say the same thing would be to say something like
"You mock me for that? Branding myself Happy Corbin I mocked poor people like you, flexed on everyone ! because that got a million dollar house! Because that's what you need to do in the big leagues, fight for attention, sell new merch and piss people off for match opportunities. Can you do that Melo, or are you one note guy?"
so you get the same flex in there without burying comedy jobbing all together. IDK, just a thought...
