>>10560534The problem with Cole is that he peaked in ROH way back and never really improved in any significant way. And he wasn't really that good to begin with, he was just a product of his time. One of those guys that would get over huge in a certain era, or a niche wrestling scene, but never really go beyond that and fall short of expectations on a bigger stage. A lot of the ECW originals come to mind. They were gods among men when they came out to the Viking Hall or the Hammerstein Ballroom, but they felt like "just some guy" in WCW and WWE. Cole is the 2000s/2010s indy version of this phenomena.
