[Good news] Genichiro Tenryu-san (73) finally leaves the hospital! After 10 months. The man who wandered on the edge of death has a "new goal". Inspired by the Late Antonio Inoki-san (78)
>Genichiro Tenryu-san (73) aka "Mr. Pro Wrestling" who retired in November 2015, was discharged from the hospital on June 22 after about 10 months in the hospital. Tenryu-san was hospitalized last September for "myelopathy and spinal canal stenosis associated with subluxation of the atlantoaxial vertebrae," which is considered "a high risk for sudden death," and in February he underwent emergency surgery for septic shock stemming from his kidneys, among other severe illnesses. Tenryu-san, who said he was even conscious of "death" during his hospitalization, came to the ring one more time to "report his return to life" to his fans, and revealed his determination to continue his way of life as a professional wrestler.
>"I'm finally out of the shadows. It was a really long time. It was longer and more difficult than my training in America when I was young. I don't know what's wrong with me, but one after another the nurses told me that my heart and blood pressure were bad all over the place.... I don't remember the time I went into septic shock and had kidney-related surgery, or the time I was transferred to the hospital and ended up in the ICU. I was told later about the situation and found out, "Oh, that's what happened." I said to myself"
>"I didn't think so at all at the time, but now that I'm out of the hospital like this, I realize that it was a situation that could have led to death. I only remember seeing my daughter, who is usually full of energy, go home with her shoulders slumped. It must have been a very bad day."
