A new day, and still no customers.
Electra had seen the faces pass by, some out of interest for the flyer at the door, and had checked to see there were a few phone tags that had been taken. So, now it was a matter of waiting to see when they would call. A cell phone was best for business, in these circumstances, and throughout the morning, she anxiously awaited for any messages.

She muttered, almost certain in that. Bible studies were not exciting. Swinging swords at someone was. Speaking of which, now that it was on her mind, she hopped off of her desk and went upstairs, grabbing a training weapon to begin practicing her form. Sharp thwacks of wood bounced against the padded dummy who received it, followed by jabs and a close throw of the target over her shoulder, before pressing her blade against the throat.
Afterwards, to no audience she knew of, she would reset the dummy's position and place the sword at the wall, selecting another to test its merit and repeat the process again.

The lights in the arena go dark. Then Priscilla's music begins to play, her pyro goes off and a chorus of boos rock the arena. Priscilla laughs as she makes her way to the ring, enjoying the rage of the fans.

She's handed a microphone, but each time she's about to speak the overwhelming boos of the fans reach fever pitch as they attempt to drown out whatever she's about to say.

She turns it into a game, making them boo with every bit of energy they can muster each time she raises the mic to her mouth, doing so even when she has no intention of speaking yet.

When she finally grows bored of this, she raises the world title.

So I'm going to air my concerns, name on, you know me. I dislike this tournament idea not because of I think it's unsuitable, in fact, I think it's perfect in character but because I think it is far too large of an undertaking, especially one that wasn't run by any of our simmers initially (from what I can see) and considering they're the ones who will have to do the tourney, it's a lot of effort for no benefit for them. Another metric we have to consider is that whilst we could do the tourney, due to the sheer volume of matches, people will have to put their personal storylines and the related matches on hold for fear of overshadowment which really isn't fair to those who continue to build stories outside of the PWE's and might not make it onto the next big card. In summary, I am perfectly fine with a tourney to make the next challenger apparent as I also believe we don't neccessarily have one in stone atm, but I believe the best route will be downsizing it a bit. From 16 to 8 would make it much more manageable and afford Priscilla and the winner more time to promo before Clash in the Kingdom. Any thoughts?

Here's my proposed 8 for The Divine Trials mini-tournament with reasons (If anyone wants to stake their claim/remove their claim from my proposed 8 then just (you) me). In seeded order:
>1. Kelly Omega: Strongest looking competitor/Runner-up in the Elimination Chamber
>2. Holly Hope-Again: Rival of both Omega and DA and finished 3rd in the chamber
>3. Miss USA: Very good recent singles record and a sure win at Onsen A Lifetime makes her a decent threat
>4. Sheila Foster: Despite a big loss at Onsen A Lifetime, she has been a dominant force in the WWA and could need a bounce back in a tourney, plus surefire promo kino
>5. Kuro Noire: If she is returning then it'd be a cool idea to put a former contender in the lower seeds

M. Alice is undefeated and has a strong presence, I think she deserves a spot.
Also think Bish and Duna deserve spots regardless of the outcome of their feud.

I'm struggling on that very thing.
Technically, my character has a strong singles record, just out of the RNG Gods' will.
But I haven't been around.
But the tournament is a good way for her to come back and not just "be handed" a spot, but be tested in maintaining that momentum she left behind.
But she's also been gone, so she doesn't "deserve it".

Agreed. Confirming entrants just locks people who might want to go for a shot out of it. Like, if i wanted Sapphire to go for a title, why could she not declare for the thing, just because she's never been in the main event picture? That's the type of exclusivity we want to try and avoid.

That said, Sapphire is not now, nor will she ever, declare for any tournaments or stake claim for titles. Her ceiling is freebirding the tag titles with the Divine Angels, Prank Club, Stellar Stars, Warhorse, NATO, The Pride, Omeggplant, Shogyary Slaina, or whatever team she happens to be a managing when it happens if they want to do that, but she wont have a hand in winning it for them except if she interferes as a manager.

I feel the same way honestly. I hadn't really planned to title shoot but circumstances thrust it on Holly. There is scope to further delay/build Holly/Omega and tournament can play into it but I hadn't considered rechallenging. Colby Jefferson walks through the park late in the afternoon, letting the trees and flowers and light bustle of urban nature clear her head a little bit. Instead, Colby had found that Sola was not only a chronic failure and a friendless sad sack, but also a backbiting, evasive, manipulative little weasel; at once a cautionary tale, and a reminder that nobody here in the WWA truly had clean hands.

Colby pulls out her phone, and is about to compose a text to Priscilla Divine, commending her on the brilliant idea for the Divine Trials, when out of the corner of her eye she sees something. Orange hair in the distance, the back of a head. It's not Amy or Nikki.

Colby takes a deep breath. A need for answers, and the three Bloody Marys she'd gulped down while cafe-hopping this afternoon, compel her to go over and confront Hailey. But she's still hurting. She's not up for this if it goes badly. She's got an important match just around the corner, against Sola Fire and whatever tag team partner she dredged up, and it would do her no good to get in Hailey's face, catch the True Hand of God across the jaw, and end up slumped bottom over bonnet across a hedge or a park bench.

From halfway across the park, Colby stares intently at the back of Hailey's head for several long seconds. Then she turns to leave.

But a few seconds later, the guard simply replies, "You're on the list, welcome to the Emilia Estate," before the massive gate begins to open.

Nikki quickly hops back into her car and drives through. Trees flank the road leading to the mansion on either side, and servants can be seen tending to the gardens. As Nikki draws closer to the sprawling house, Nikki recognises one of Sapphire's cars and parks next to it, before heading to the mansion on foot.

She reaches a towering door atop a flight of stairs that seems to be the main entrance, and knocks.
