excalibur on color would be much better
just yell about the crazy shit and then chill and come up with one liners and banter. he was much better on dark where he was just chilling out and not trying to carry the show.
him and kelly on pbp could be something

Yeah, if JR had been able to talk more it would have been fine. Only thing I thought was that KK needs to acclimate more to the show, he didn't quite find his groove yet.

Could be a production issue too, new flow on everything. It was wild that they started the show without introducing who is talking and welcoming the audience.
I like that they bring a more serious tone but color is lacking, shouldn't be too hard to find a guy in AEW who talks better than he wrestles with umpteen people in the roster

I didn't watch but this confirms Schiavone hasn't changed. He used to do this sort of thing every week on Nitro, along with cringey arguments with Heenan. TK should have brought in Mike Tenay instead but Big Mike probably big leagued him.

Still much better than the corporate bot Michael Cole though.
