Why has Vince consistently put crusierweights who should've never been anything more than a US champ in the main event picture? People shit on HHH for his love of Gargano, Ciampa, and Adam Cole, but those guys were inspired by the little fellas Vince pushed. I know Kevin Sullivan booked Benoit to beat Sid Vicious, but Vince should've known better.

None of those guys were pushed in a significant way. Eddie beat Brock with help from Goldberg, beat Angle with a roll up, then lost to JBL and never got the title again. Benoit/Jericho had a few moments but mostly stayed in the midcard their entire runs. To me it seemed more so like Vince didn't really believe in those guys but had a lot of people telling him how great they are so he'd occasionally give them moments but none of those guys had a sustained push like Cena, Batista, Orton.
