This was before Meltzer went crazy and started giving 4.5 stars or more out every single week which makes no sense at a fundamental level because if you have the best matches of all time every week that means the matches are getting better every week, which they clearly aren't. If he wanted to say that in his opinion the work is better now, and gave out 4 stars often, that makes more sense, but when WWE, NJPW, AEW, Joshi and other Indie shit can all have matches above 4.25 stars in a week, that doesn't make sense. When Okada and Omega got 5 stars or above, that was a big deal and people checked it out due to the hype. Now matches that get 5 stars or more aren't even talked about the next day.
