AEW was finally getting some momentum with the success of Collision, Punk back, and Fight Forever. Forbidden Door stopped any momentum with how underwhelming it was

It was a one night show with 14 matches. Half of those matches weren’t even worthy of being on Dark, let alone featured on an actual PPV. I’m convinced that the only reason these shows even happen is because the dog wanker pays NJPW a shit ton of money to lend their talent out. What ever happened to that plan of NJPW hosting a Forbidden Door event? Japan is fully open now, so there’s no excuse of the Japanese government keeping pandemic restrictions going.
