I can't stand omega but it was a perfectly acceptable match. 2.5-3/5. Callis' 2nd spot hurt the match a bit but eh whatever.

Watched the match today. Uh, I thought the selling was pretty bad, but obviously, the crowd was eating it up, so that's ok. What's the point of going 40 minutes if the fight just feels like it never leaves "midgear"? I tuned out from minutes 27 -39 because it was just a continuous spot.

Like, I'm a casual aew fan. I don't watch NJPW, I didn't see the WK match. It was undeniably entertaining, but it was a pretty big spot spotfest that never felt like "the finale" of the match.

Filtered. The finish wasn't Ospreay hitting some big shot to end Omega instantly, the finish was Omega finally breaking down and succumbing after taking insane punishment.

By 33 minutes, it seemed like they were telling us Kenny had recovered from his head injury and was no longer selling it. But like I said, I was "filtered" by not much of consequence happening for the last half of the match. Maybe I didn't "get" the Don Callis interference storytelling correctly.

The WK match was better, the FD match misses the heat that the first one had. This was more like what you'd expect a Will Ospreay vs Kenny Omega match to look like, if it happened in post-Reseda PWG (their first match was good) or at some Wrestlecon show it wouldn't be any different
