Randy Savage, his matches sucked and are boring snorefests despite being in the ring with all of the best talent in the industry. And despite getting the belt in 1992 had little heat during any of his matches, the only real period he had fans invested in his work was the Mega-Powers storyline which was mostly just Miss Elizabeth.
Ric Flair is also very overrated now

Outside of *maybe* select names like Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, you aren't going to find guys who put on actual bangers.

But yes Randy's wrestling is nigh unwatchable and is not mentioned enough as a fault; but it's a fault most people share.

Randy Savage was big the entire second half of the 80s.

Randy Savage had one notable match with Ricky Steamboat and it was at WM3, the reputation of that match was so high that it carried his entire legacy. Now imagine if Randy Savage had the world championship about got to work 100s of matches with Ricky Steamboat in the 80s. That's how you end up with Ric Flair.

I like John Morrison a lot, but I think part of his appeal was the fact that he was on the same card as 2007 Khali and Vito jobbing in drag, it was such a down era that he looked great. I still think that he deserved a better career, but I'm afraid he will be forgotten about. He never had that definitive match to look back on, it will be tough to explain how popular he was online in the late 2000s.

He was having bangers on smackdown around the summer of 09 and ultimately winning the ic title from rey. Had an awesome tlc match against shelton too at the tlc ppv. You gotta refresh your memory of that run it was genuinely great

Flair had a very set formula but he really stood out in that he had way more of a motor/stamina than most guys around him in his prime.

It's weird to think about it but Flair made most of his contemporaries look slow and plodding.

Flair had as much of a motor as the top Japanese guys in the 80s (Fujinami and Choshu), and by the time Misawa, Mutoh, etc came around, he was an older wrestler past his prime.

You know how awful it was in that post Benoit into the guest host era of RAW. I definitely need to go back and give his run another look. I just remember it being thin on character development. People would say he was bad on the mic, but honestly, I barely remember him speaking on anything except Miz & Morrison segments and third rate no pressure shows like WWECW.

People who think Ric Flair isn't awesome should just stop watching wrestling all together, delete all your /pw/ folder, go whack your weasel, never come back. The man had a longer "retirement" career than most wrestlers have active career.

Was it awful to watch old man get slower by the year before WWE kayfabe retirement? Yes. The man had almost 30 fucking years long career before even setting his foot in WWE.
Is the Flair flop and begging horrible house show junk in comparison to "realistic" wrestling? Yes.
Was it even worse to watch him mutilate himself decades after best by date after first retirement. Yes. But it was still fucking awesome compared to all the one note flippies that don't know how to act their way out through a match.

Naitch set the standards of wrestling, his Woo still echoes in every fucking arena when chest slaps hit. Comparing anyone that came after him as better is like comparing how good the water tastes compared to the taste of the glass that held it for your sorry ass to drink it or admiring of tall the roof is ignoring the pillars that it stands on.
