>>10640410Yeah, back when WWE cared about their lower card there were always guys who were booked strong and in storylines that the crowd cared about who could be pushed to main event if needed and the crowd would buy it. Some could make it, some couldnt, but you cant know it before you try. Putting all chips down on a single guy worked when the company was more of a traveling circus than a weekly tv show.
I dont think Walter would have the potential anyway but the company's ways of dealing with him makes absolutely no sense. Give him a strap, let him beat a challenger every now and then but dont bother with actual feuds, he'll become over by himself if he has "it"? That's fucking bullshit and he is not the first victim of that mindset, and doing that buries not only wrestlers but their title belts too. Neither the US title nor ADR ever recovered from that bullshit
