He's been lumbering for a while but his performance (not to mention his appearance) at Forbidden Door 2 was terrible. He can't work at a high-level any more. He was too slow and too fat.
He needs to retire to multiman-tag only grampa status.
And to work an entirely dfferent style too. His signature style and moves suit his body of 15 years ago. Top rope splashes, slingblades, flying forearms. He can't do any of that well any more.
Love the Ace but he was an embarrassment on Sunday. He was bad at last year's FD but even worse this year.
His last good match was Jan 4 2019, and he was starting to get quite old and broken even then. Somehow Kenny elevated him to a great match. But 4 years on and no one of that caliber to carry him? He needs to vacate the singles match scene, at the very least the singles titles scene, with dignity.
