It's why modded FPWW is the only way to go for me.
If I want a game involving real wrestlers I'll create them, give me a creation sandbox and robust game engine, ideally a few extra modes like EWR-lite shit.
Wrestling videogames are a fictional version of an already fictional medium, it's a whole second layer of fiction that's more comparable to virtual fanfiction. There's literally no point in WWE story modes or any of that bullshit, it's all angles that didn't happen, it's fantasy booking. if I want a What If or fantasy booking, I'll do my own and add my own story to the matches etc. ideally that can be added in game but if not no big deal, I'd take my imagination over pre-rendered videogame writer scripts. I've not found one but a FPWW mod that adds some limited level of scripted angle/promo animations as part of the booking mode, would be the only thing I need for that game to cover all bases.
