They no longer have the pressure to make WWE games every years like Madden, why they poorly made Fight Forever game?

I'm guessing Yuke's doesn't have the same devs that made the original Smackdown! games. They were probably just given a bag of money and list of ideas of what to make from AEW and threw it together

I can't see the full credits for FF posted anywhere (if they're even accessible yet) but this is my assumption too. I can't see any devs from HCTP or the like still hanging around 20 years later, especially post WWE-fallout.

The fact that Kenny got Yuke's to attempt an AKI style game is really funny historically speaking, they were always the Jannetty and when they tried this before after AKI was let go (Wrestlemania X8 on Gamecube) it was a total disaster. If there were any old devs left there they probably felt like absolute jabronis having to mimick their old rival.

It's a miracle they were even still in business when Tony made the call, after 2K19 they fell straight into being a textbook shovelware dev

Only that last game was received remotely well with a Mobygames score of 7.5 with the rest in the 6 range. Tony thought he was calling up the Smackdown team but undoubtedly just called a bunch of new hires who took the free money anyway lol
