>>10654870>Is the new FF good, bros?It depends what you want. If you're a fan of the FF series, and JRPG's in general, it's going to be a really mixed bag. If you remember playing something like FF7 when it first came out, and going through the random encounters because you wanted the next 5 minute cut scene you'll be happy to know they captured that feeling again. Except now the cutscenes are 4-5 times longer. They are incredibly well done with top notch voice acting and visuals, but they are long. In between though, it's not a JRPG. There is no crafting system. No in depth systems like the Materia system to play with, and most bothersome for me, no party. You have people who hang out with you but there are no party members really. You have a dog. That's it. The exploration is also lacking. YOu find some items here or there but they are just empty vistas with monsters just hanging out. The side quests are fetch quests by and large. The combat while interesting is more like DMC than FF. It's weird. I didn't like the system that much in FF15, but even had more depth than this. Because of the party members. The combat here feels like "My first Bayonetta" or something. The combos are limited and the joy of playing with builds in those games doenst translate here because of some OP skills that just dont make sense not to use. tl;dr if you're not an FF fan you might find it interesting. If you are an FF fan you might not like it at all.
