The goal of pro wrestling or any business is to draw from as many people as possible and to make money, what smarks like doesn't draw viewers or money, so it's killing the industry. A little bit of smark stuff on the card is fine, but booking entire shows around the mindset is suicide.

the "smark" most people refer to is the type who will headcanon everything and fantasy book to show how smart they are and then get pissed off if their fantasy booking doesn't happen in reality. they also tend to be contrarians and seethe at wrestlers they think can't wrestle.

theres other kinds of smark but this is the most common
