He left because he didn't want to turn heel and wanted more money. He could've easily said "yep I'm resigning fuck this I swear I wont challenge shit fuck that hangman I'm coming for your belt" and it would've been crazy. It was a smart move to go to WWE though considering he got paid and way more over, but he was that way in AEW till he wasn't to. Cody getting booed and coping in the worst way and going out after setting himself on fire only to STILL get booed then cutting the most incoherent promo of all time was a fucking all timer, I want to see that again but in WWE.
