So what's the deal with this show? Is it being booked by someone other than Tony? It's not great, but it feels different.
>not really any flippy spotfest stuff, much more restholds and counters
>few if any of the overused backstage promo interruptions and post-match beatdowns
>segments get more time to breathe

Tony's been taking a hands-off approach with it, apparently. Booking wise Bryan and Punk were confirmed involved and there's probably that Washington guy too. Just not having Dynamite's ADHD pacing helps a lot.

Personally I hate it because I wish AEW Dark was still around and I hate Punk and want him to suffer a career ending injury. But I'm glad that Kevin Kelly is getting work and that AEW is making a lot more money now because of the show.

It's Dynamite with better commentary and better talent. Unfortunately it inherited all the other problems of Dynamite and is being severely held back by predictable booking and matches that are way too long.

AEW always does weird stuff and this is another example. It feels like the in-ring portion and the talent are booked by one person, but the other stuff is booked by Tony. It's not a true brand split as Collision doesn't have its own titles, PPV's or even a total lock on all the talent it uses, but it does have its own announcers, and it has a couple of people like Miro and Andrade who have yet to appear on the other show. Because of all that, it's hard to try and see where they are going with everything.

I prefer it over Dynamite and Rampage though. No OC or Elite is almost the best possible version of AEW there is.

Don't forget no Excalibur. Collision is decent and it could be flat out good if Tony would just curb his autistic smark booking.

Collision has become the wrestling show.
Seriously, Collision is almost all in-ring matches, and long ones too, given time. There might be a promo segment, two max, but nothing like Dynamite. I definitely prefer it, feels like the show for real wrestling fans.

Dynamite is the entertainment show.

Dynamite has barely any promos too. The real difference is that Collision is a lot slower more classic style of wrestling.

But it's not a problem for wrestling fans. It's awesome. Feels almost like a NJPW show.

Thats mostly a good thing but I feel like the show starts dragging because of that. Every segment feels a bit too long
